COLLABORATIVE LAW

Collaborative Law is a new model of divorce law that empowers the clients to make the best decisions for their family's future, instead of leaving the matters to the attorneys to litigate and a judge to decide.

In the Collaborative model, the attorneys for the parties are specially trained to work together with a team of other professionals - such as a financial neutral, divorce coaches, if necessary, a parenting coordinator or a mediator - to resolve the dissolution in a manner that benefits the entire family instead of just his or her client.  By doing this, I believe, the parties are better able to avoid post decree matters, and have a more complete resolution by making all of their own decisions for the family.

In Collaborative Divorce, the parties work on their own time frames, and ideally with less confrontation and more cooperation.  As a collaborative divorce attorney, I act as your legal counselor while working with the other attorney - also collaboratively trained - to determine what experts will be needed, what the issues of contention are and to help the parties find ways to resolve those issues for the benefit of the whole family.

There is no one that knows you, your spouse or your children better than you.  Don't leave life long decisions to a third party because you want your day in Court.  Figure it out on your own!  Collaborate. Don't litigate!
